Is there an alternative method on the Z10 or some very good software that I can install that will move such emails to a junk / spam file
Currently able to Block contacts on Z10 - however such emails on computer are moved to a junk / spam folder automatically

Go to Settings, Accounts. Chose that email account. Under "Edit Folder Settings", toggle off sync for your spam folder.

It's currently showing the folder where the email account stores the spam messages.

Thanks for your response - I downloaded and installed app - however it lately was blocking all emails. I then needed to go to Log and reply forwarding under another email address to get them on to my laptop. I did try just blocking some of the file names but to no avail - have since had to delete from Z10
Do you know of another software application that I should view ??
    many thanks

Who is the email provider and do they have anti-spam checking?

When we moved from Rackspace email to shared hosting, we lost the spam filtering and I haven't found a proper replacement yet. Scrollout F1 seems to be the closest, but that is likely overkill.

Do you use this email on your desktop? I got a 1 year free license to CloudMark earlier this year, not sure if still available.

Spam filtering on the phone is not likely going to be any good, IMO.

Select the email account in the Hub. Then at the top right of the Hub press the down arrow and unselect which folders are synced.

Forget Spam filtering on a client software (PC, BB device, Tablet or whatever). The best way to filter Spam is directly on the mail server. Normally every mail server has a website where you have a login. If you use this website you can adjust your Spam filters. In the result these mails remain in a folder on the server, they don't get on any of the attached client devices. I really don't know why each client software provides it's own dumb Spam filtering features - most peaple have multiple devices today, should they administrate all these different apps?
