I observed sometimes that my fone gets hot even when I'm not using it. I'll jst pick it up after a while nd I find it's hot. I don't like dis as it wastes my battery. How can I stop it?

Check under device monitor what is eating your battery and what is using your CPU. Could be an android app running in the background.

Even with apps apparently closed, there are some running in the background that might run without your knowledge.
    Uninstall the headless apps.
To verify if there is an Android app running in the background, I suggest to download 'Taskmanager' from BBW.

If the device monitor says something is "on" but it's idle is that a concern? Is it using cpu power?

Also, under "memory" it says some apps are using memory even though I haven't turned them on. Eg: evernote and facebook

I've found that BBM will sometimes randomly use a lot of battery. It's a known issue.
