Can someone tell me why blackberry cannot meet demand for the blackberry passport and yet talking about another phone in the future?

I mean are we employing competent people still in the workforce or its just all about wearing suit now?

They only have the mexico plant making the passports and I would assume they are only able to produce 50K a week maybe. Also screen shortages might be an issue. If you are talking about the classis it will be outsourced to foxconn to make so its not the same plant.

They scale manufacturing based on demand. If it makes sense to do a manufacturing run of 200,000 units, they won't do it if 100,000 people want the Passport (the numbers are made up to explain the principle.) Compare that with the Z10 where they over-manufactured and ended up having to take a write-down on the excess inventory.
