    When I updated wife's Z30, she had this too.

    Open BBM app. Swipe down from top key screen and select Settings.

    About 8 options down under BBM Settings/Chats, find this option:
    Show Action Bar With Keyboard
    Toggle this setting off.
    Tap back arrow at bottom left corner to exit BBM Settings.
