    I receive the message alert that a text has been sent. Can view only the first few words of the text and when I try to open the screen is grey. Cannot view conversation string either. Cannot view more than texts in past 3 dates.

    Some more details are needed.

    What carrier, what OS?
    When did it start? Did it start surrounding another event like an OS update or device switch or anything else?

    Have you tried to restart your phone at all?
    You can try a device reset first. (NOT the same as a restart.)

    Hold down your top button for about 30 seconds. Keep pressing it down, ignoring onscreen countdown and restart option, BB splashscreen, and black screen. The red LED will turn on. As soon as LED turns off, release the top key.

    Was anything better after that reboot?
