The one where you have to type the word"blackberry. Will it wipe anything away that is needed? It says it will wipe downloaded apps, etc. I was hoping it would only wipe my own personal info and any apps I have downloaded but not ones that came on the phone, is that correct? And is that the correct method. To remove my personal info before selling?

Yes, it is the right method.

If your SD card is encrypted, be sure to cancel encryption before doing security wipe (otherwise you will lose all the data on the SD card). If you remove it from the phone before doing the wipe, you need to cancel encryption, too.

So if my SD card is NOT encrypted, should I just remove it before the wipe? (is encrypting something I would have purposely done (I don't remember doing that)

Yes, if it's not encrypted you may remove it at any time (before or after the wipe). To be sure, remove it before the wipe, put it in another device (phone or PC) and see if you can access the files.

Yes, yes, yes. Especially since that will make it easier for your purchaser to make it his (or her) own; I have just resolved a problem I had with my Z30 when I gave it to my wife. We couldn't transfer the BBID on the phone to her BBID, and we ended up having to wipe the phone anyway and restore its factory settings.

"Should" is not the right word, "MUST" is. Only way to make sure all your stuff is gone. And only way to erase your Blackberry ID.
