This is annoying because I usually want to read the gist of a mail and then open any attachments or reread later on my laptop. How do I prevent opened mail disappearing from the server?

Do you mean Z3 BBRY or the Android device?

Z phones should not delete from the server unless you specifically tell it to when deleting an email.

Go to the hub and :

    1. Hit the setting 'lower right screen ' the 3 dot.

    2. Hub management.

    3. Pick your e-mail and choose the settings you want.

If you don't see this settings you need to update your phone.

I think it's to do with your core email account settings, that a copy should be left on the server. Your PC email client should have that option.

Banco - No that's not the problem, e mail settings on PC are to leave copy on server. To me this does not seem an issue with Mail set up in general but something on the Z3.

What are the settings on your service provider? Hmmm.

I recall a few yrs back.gmail had a setting online for emails to deliver to device which cleared off the server.

BlackBerry - Accept no substitute. Period!
