Hello, I am going to purchase a BB Passport SE. I use Whatsapp and Uber quite extensively. Can someone guide me how to install Whatsapp and Uber in BB passport? I am new to BB OS as I've been using iOS for the past 6 years. I'm bit confused on the installation part as I've been going through so many threads and the discussions related to the same. Is it mandatory to install Google Playstore to install them or can i directly install the APKs and start using it? Please correct me If am wrong.
    Thanks

If you are using the Android versions of those apps, yes you will need the Playstore installed:
Google Play Store for BlackBerry 10 [Read first post for instructions]

However, I do believe there is still a native WhatsApp app for BlackBerry and should be in BlackBerry World (for now).

I would do the Google Play Store installation in any case since it isn't too hard to do and opens up access to more apps.
