    When using BlackBerry Link, what is the difference between a restore from backup, and restore device software?

    Just looking for a clear explanation of the purpose or difference between the two options/functions in Link.

    reload if that's you talk about it it is installing factory software wiping all data
    restore installs your backed up data

    reload makes yr phone like new , restore puts back your settings that you previously saved

    Right, I understand that. I'm still a bit confused though. I thought "restore from backup" was different from "restore device software?" But if "Restore Device Software" reverts to factory settings, then what is the difference between the "Factory Reset" and "Restore Device Software?"
