    My mom has been using the Curve for years. When the first one broke she just bought another. I want to get her a new OS 10 phone. Which one would you consider a good fit for someone who is used to the Curve? I have the Passport and am very satisfied with it, but I don't think it is a good choice for my mom.

    Or the Q5 if the Classics too big and heavy feeling for her although it doesnt have the toolbelt. Its way inexpensive to buy. I too am stuck on wanting to use the Curve 9360 alot even with all my choices. I dont see anything wrong with it but she might prefer a phone you can actually enjoy browsing on, which would be the Classic or the Q5, but if shes not into heavy keyboard use she may actually like a switch to a Z10 or a even a Z30.

    Heres why: The size jump from a Curve is significant, even to a Q5, and if she sees this as a compromise or a hardship, she may only be willing to switch if there is a big payload for all the extra size and weight, i.e., a full-sized screen to browse with. If all she wants is a great phone-phone nothing really beats the Curve. (its even great for texting on, better than a touch-screen.)

    Might be good to ask her, but all these phones are cheap enough to just buy a second choice to have around, except maybe the Classic.

    My wife loved her Curve so much she bought two... now, a few years later she's facing the same dilemma. Made a bit easier by the fact that she needs wifi-calling. Holding out for the Classic on t-mo getting it soon. Still, there's always the Q. But the classic has the joystick if I'm not mistaken. And a lot of people I know missed that on the Q.

    wi-fi calling is one of the 'perks' she wants, as well as a few apps. She does browsing etc on her laptop. I'm guessing she'd like a better camera and she would not want to be without her keypad.

    Coming from the curve, the BlackBerry Q5 is a very nice upgrade. The classic is also a very good option. It's size is a lot bigger than the curve but I'm sure you will love the bigger screen.
