Thinking about picking up an excellent condition used Z10.....What I want to know is what can I expect from BB? I have used pretty much every OS except Apple. Is their a steep curve in learning the OS and what all am I going to lose from my current android os?

It really isn't hard to get used bb10. I'd say a week maybe because it's mostly swipes that make sense. For example if you want to get out of an app swipe up and as for the Android difference I've never used android so I can't say

    Stop thinking and buy it
You can expect the most secure OS, one which is smooth (mines never crashed since I bought it in January), one which has clever features, BB isn't a show off OS, it's a get to work OS.
You'll learn to use BB10, it's a very good OS and is only going to get better with 10.3.1

BlackBerry has its own OS and it's good. Not as entertaining as android but almost identical to other OS un terms of its capabilities. But the most important in BlackBerry is its security. one of their respected reputation.

BlackBerry Z10 is a great device, with a great form factor and one of the nicest displays available. My only problem with the Z10 is the battery life. But I'm a fairly heavy user. So if you get one I highly suggest you pick a Z10 charging bundle that comes with an extra battery. They go for $10 on Amazon right now. Coming from android there will be a learning curve. You may get it within a few hours or a couple days. Just depends on your ability to adapt. I think you will find that BB10 will feel like an extension of yourself. It is so fast and fluid. Give it a try!

I still love my Z10 after a year and a half. The charging bundle is a great acessory. You will love the Hub, and trying your android apps from Amazon app store, or if you sideload Snap.
