Never thought i would hear this question again haha. As thurask said, BIS stands for BlackBerry Internet Service and it's basically a subscription service (price varies on region) that allows you to use the internet. Its not like modern smartphones today that require data to connect. Blackberry OS 7 devices and below required BIS. So every time your BlackBerry device gets an email, or accesses a webpage, it does so through the BIS service.

There is also something that used to be called BES now called UEM which offers trusted end-to-end security and support for a wide range of devices for your business. Also a subscription service that allows you to manage all endpoints.

    Some really awesome stuff

In certain movies I have seen people calling from bb devices and it shows unknown number on the other persons phone
What is that kind of thing?
    Does BB offers that also?

Most movie phones use a custom interface - it's almost never the real phone's interface. Sometimes it might be, but not always.

What you're describing is not a function of the phone, but something you set up with your carrier. It's blocking your number. Usually it's another fee you pay your carrier so your phone number is not displayed on the other end of the call if they have caller ID.

The "Show my number" setting in the phone app described above is only to prevent your own phone number from displaying in your own dialer. It has nothing to do with whether it displays the number on the other end of a call.

That option may be restricted by your carrier.
    Check with them.
