    Ummm... because that OS was made for the Priv, and BB has not provided one for previous BB10 phones?

    You can't just drop a different OS over the native one. It first needs to be optimized, coded, drivers need to be re-written, boot access is different, (you will just "brick" your phone), etc. That's what they pay a team of software designers/ engineers a lot of money and many, many hours to do.

    The Priv phone has hardware fixes to help secure Android. BlackBerry 10 devices don't. All new BlackBerry devices will likely be configured to run a secure Android OS, but previous devices aren't, so no.
