[CrackBerry Question]

Hi people, Im just Update my BlackBerry Z30 STA 100-5 with the new OS 10.3.1.1784, it was the original software that my phone ask me to download .

Before the Update my phone was working normally and my battery used to last ALL DAY, and now, my battery last at most 4 hours.

Other problem that I see is that now I CAN NOT see the thumbnails in my media folders and cant swipe between photos to see my catalog.

Will appreciate your kind help.

You just updated the device: it's going to take at least a day or two to get the full performance back since it will take time to re-index the contents of the device. Just give it some time.

Thanks rthonpm, but it has been like 2 weeks since I update my phone.

I have restarted my phone so many times, also with the hard reset, holding the up and down volume keys and nothing, the same problem.

Have you rebooted? (see below)

Open Device Monitor and check the info. What appears to be using the battery? Now at the bottom, hit the CPU tab. Again, what appears to be using the cpu?


Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have a Z10: If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

I will remove the SD card before going to sleep and see what happen in the morning.

You may want to try doing an OS reset through BlackBerry Link and not OTA. Sometimes when updating OTA there are glitches. Doing over hard line Internet connection through Link usually yields more reliable results.

Remove. Reboot. See what happens overnight...

Same thing happened to me when I updated to this version. The battery was draining in 4 hours. Then I performed swipe through settings. This problem got resolved. It seems that during update some files did not delete or the update was not clean.
