    Hello,
I recently switched service providers and have been unable to receive or send emails since then. When I go to Setup - Email Accounts, I see a message 'Looking for updates' during a long time, then another message 'Connecting to email settings' and then another message appears that says 'Device had a problem connecting to the server'. I cannot even get to the email settings to figure out what is wrong because the message 'Device had a problem connecting to the server' keeps popping up.
I tried to access the internet, I can do it with the Opera browser but not with the default browser.
I used the device analyser, the network checker failed the blackberry service test.
    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Did you make sure your new provider enabled BIS?

I had a text message yesterday from the provider saying that the BIS service was activated but nothing changed...

Been a long time since I used BBOS..... try reactivating you phone with your provider, in order to make sure you Service Books are loaded. (*228 was how it worked with Verizon)

There's also something buried in "Settings" to re-register with the servers. I forget exactly where. It's been a while dealing with BIS for me too.
