Couple of days ago I deleted the android instagram app due to it not showing pictures no matter how much I scrolled

Thought it had something to do with the newest update, so I downloaded the apk for the older version (7.2) and It didn't work, giving me the exact same notice as seen on the screenshot below. Even re-installing the most recent apk gave me that exact same response.

Anybody know how I can be able to install it? Perhaps there's some android install files somewhere on the phone that I need to fully get rid of before I'm able to install it again?

Before I do an update for any of those android apps, I always do a backup to ensure I can restore the old version in case the new one doesn't play nice. It has helped me a few times.
