Is there anyway I can increase my typing speed on my z10? An app or so?
I am using it for 6 months but still feels like I am very slow in it.

The skill can be developed within some... (3-4) weeks... first, you have to "learn the position of the keys"... I do really mean LEARN...
Then, devide into rows and left/right for both thumbs...
The left 5 keys are for the left thumb.
Then, don't flick!! That's one of the secrets! It is faster to type the intended word, hit space and move on. When flicking, you have to identify the word, then flick in its middle somehow... you have to look if its form (singular/plural) is right, then, you have to correct... forget about flicking if you want to type fast.
LOOK only to your keys. Hammer with both thumbs. Don't look to the screen. When you typed your text, save it then edit it. You'll be astonished how much you typed. In right and wrong... just correct the whole then send. (here in the forums, I send then edit my text)
Keep looking to the keys. When you feel you can type a series of letters like "tion" in "invention, caution, injection" etc. Or "able" in "ejectable, readable, writable", etc. then, you are a step further. Then, you can look to the screen while your fingers type these known letters.
Time moves on and you can write much more letters blindly, so that you can type while looking to your text, and not the letters. Only the first letter is then detected with the eyes and after a while, only the first letter of a sentence.
Then comes the time you can locate backspace at ease so while you're typing, looking on the screen, you correct progressively.
With a bit of work, typing pages and pages of text, you'll get it!
I promise, you can do it, because I can do it on the Q10 and now, with sometimes looking to the keys, espeacially of the bottom row, on my Passport.
Cheers.

Thanks for the detailed explanation . Can you type faster in q10 as there is no flick option in that?

Yes, I have word suggestion (not by swiping, but by clicking on the suggested word) but I turn it off... it is too distracting... I type faster when I focus on typing!

I am able to type faster on the Z10 because my fingers just touch the screen. On the Q10, I need to press the key so I take more time. The "feeling" is however much better with the Q10, that's why I chose it. I "caress" the keys while I move to the next, which you can't do with the virtual keyboard or the passport.
On Passport, I must lift the fingers up, else the device thinks I make a seelection/gesture. (Two fingers call the magnifying glass and mess up my cursor position on the screen)
I love my Q10 keyboard, but I hate the double typing.
