    TCL's agreement does NOT include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. BlackBerry phones in those countries are exclusively from BB PT Merah Putih.

    TCL has stated their focus is enterprise.... starting out there might be a number of markets where they don't "officially" release and support this phone, if it's not a market where BlackBerry has a existing enterprise user base... you'll just have to wait and see.

    But as others have said, TCL's licensing has a few exclusions. The "Mercury" would have to be "smuggled" in.... But who knows, you might get a device that meets your markets needs better?

    it might be hot item in India if the network compatible to NA or EU bands... But no body is going to lost a kidney for it. IMHO.

    Yeah according to NDTV, Mercury will not be released in India. But think like this, it'll be better for you to buy it straight from them as an unlocked phone because BlackBerry costs way too much in India. It costs as much or sometimes even more than iPhone. It'll be cheaper straight TCL/Blackberry

    Here you go ppl. I think we will be seeing all touch BlackBerry phones. And not a great build quality. Especially given to that price bracket.
