Old phone was a passport and fell in the water and no longer works and isn't even recognized when I plug into my lap top

Just got a new dtek and need to know how to transfer files from a back up I did in July to the new phone but I don't know how to do that.

If the back up was done with BlackBerry Link then you can't. If you manually moved files such as pictures via USB to a folder on your desktop then you can just move that folder to your Dtek same way.

If it's a link back up, you would need another BB10 devices to restore the back up to and then manually move filed and folders to your desktop from it or use the file transfer app to move to your Dtek.
