Those who have been with BlackBerry for a long time, how long does the average device get supported?
I'm looking to buy a Q10 (dat keyboard) but I know in the back of my mind that is not a new device and I don't want to buy a BB only to have it stop getting updates next month or so. So why the Q10 and not just wait for a Classic or Passport? Well, I also don't want to spend $600 on a BB since my contract isn't up for another year. I can spend $250 and get a Q10 sans-contract.

Let me know. Is it stupid to think of buying a Q10 at this time? Should I wait and try to find a low-cost Classic or Passport in the coming years (or renew my plan on a BlackBerry).

    Thanks for your time!

The Q10 is a marvelous device. Never too late if the price is right. My son has one that we bought on the used market. The phone may be pried from his cold, dead hands. If you like the device my advice is go for it.
