    I am trying to help someone making the upgrade and I don't recall if Link transfers texts or not. If not, is there a recommended app that will do the job?

    As I recall, the SMS databases are far too different on each platform.

    Actually, this documentation here, KB35492-Information on completing a Device Switch from a previous BlackBerry smartphone to a BlackBerry 10 smartphone , appears promising.
