..just why would you ever want BlackBerry map? Most map apps blow it out of the water.

Was asking because I always use Waze on my Z30, but for some reason it wasn't working well tonight, so I loaded up BlackBerry Maps instead which worked pretty nicely. That made me wonder what I would have as a back up on my PRIV in the event that Waze wasn't working properly.

Thanks guys! So it sounds like Android has plenty of options when it comes to GPS's. Good to hear...Forgive me, but I still haven't gotten used to the fact that BlackBerry finally has a device that can access all apps. Can't wait to get my PRIV on Verizon hopefully soon

TBH, you can in theory get BB maps on Priv
It'll be a complicated process, but you can use some apps which can emulate java apps
And since you can extract the BBmaps cod/jad/jar files from the BBOS, you can in theory run the app
How well it will function is another question

I guess some of the comments were right. I don't particularly need BlackBerry Maps. I was just looking go make sure I have more than one GPS option in case Waze was down. It seems I got plenty, so no need for BlackBerry Maps

It would be especially difficult to run BlackBerry Maps this way since it's not a BBOS app.
