I live in a normal street. I connect to my house Wi-fi access. My Blackberry scans and sees dozens of other houses wifi, all of varying signal strengths. Surely this constant scanning eats a little battery life?

Is there a way I can make my Blackberry only look for the one or two signals I want and ignore scanning for all the rest?

It only scans until it's connected, unless you go to wifi settings then is scans again.

It's like a quantum cat: if you don't look at it it's probably OK.
