My blackberry bold could be set up to allow outgoing calls from a locked screen.
I can't seem to find a way to do this from my new Verizon BB Classic. Can anyone provide instructions?
    Thank you!

I know I can't on my Z30. I doubt you can on the classic either

Nope. That was one of the great features they left off the BB10 devices.

With the legacy device, you could easily lock your phone and hand it to someone to make a call, without worrying about them having access to the rest of your phone. Not so with the newer phones.

If I'm understanding this 'feature' correctly, it used to allow you to dial out while the screen was password locked? So if your phone got stolen, the burglar couldn't get in to the phone but could make calls to his/her heart's content?
