Unique to the Priv.
And mostly useless.
Actually very useful with marshmallow.

Can't have your cake and eat it as well. ;)
Unique to Blackberry.

On Lollipop, yeah.
Marshmallow is better with permissions.
BB10 doesn't need DTEK lol.

Checking the permissions of installed apps requires installed apps. :)
So what does DTEK actually prevent. It reports, but does not prevent things bad from happening.
Oh I said it prevents stuff? Are you in marshmallow?
It's useful in the sense that it now allows YOU to prevent things you don't want happening which obviously required ability to toggle permission. It's all in one place and you don't need to go app by app. You can check by permission and so on. It's actually very in depth. In fact, if something accesses your location, you can see where you were when it happened.
So yes its useful. If you don't like it that's fine but it's not useless.

I'm sure there are plenty of 'third party' apps that do the same as Dtek for other devices, running Marshmallow.
Heck even BB10 has some granular options if you installed App Ops Android apps on 10.3+, giving you the exact same information: what permissions apps really use, and when they've last used that permission.

Which BB10 does just fine without DTEK!
