    How do I send a text message to someone that includes my name? The first time I send to.someone I get a reply "who is this" that is how i.found out that i'm indicated as "Me" as the sender.

    Hmm... In the conversation, I know I'm listed as "me" but never thought to ask what the other side sees. I imagine it's my name, or whatever they have for me in their contact list.

    Do you have yourself as a contact? Maybe try adding yourself and see if that helps?

    Adding yourself does not change anything. This is something that I wish they had a fix for. On any of the other platforms, not once have I seen the senders name as "Me". Hell, even on my previous black berries before getting a Z10 my name always showed up on my screen as my name and not as me

    If you are not in the recipients contact list it will only show your phone number to them until they put your name into their contact list....

    This. You can't add signatures to text messages like you can with emails, so unless the recipient has you in their contacts list then all that will show is your phone number.

    OP - use your word Substitution to create a signature if that's what you are after.
