I contacted AT&T this morning (09/23) and asked them if they will be carrying the Passport. Much to my surprise, they flat out told me, "NO."
    I hope they are wrong.

I'm not surprised. It's no where on their website either.

Am I surprised that perhaps the largest cell phone company in the US (or 2nd largest) is not carrying the new Blackberries?
    I guess I am.

At least you're not as hopeless as us poor Verizon saps. You could still technically buy an unlocked model directly from BlackBerry (eventually), or from a Canadian carrier and use it on AT&T.

They didn't support the Z30 either, did they?

Not surprised, but disappointed. Could be one of the reasons BB priced the PP on the low side.

While it unfortunately won't surprise me at this point if AT&T doesn't carry the Passport, let's all remember the BBRY launch event for the device hasn't even happened yet. Maybe we'll know more in a few days.

Has anybody tweeted at them to inquire?

Elite1. That's what I keep telling my wife! If at&t gives up on BB, then they've lost me as a customer, after 10 years!

there are folks here on CrackBerry who watch the FCC approvals who are advising they have seen no CDMA version of the phone approved as yet. It could be coming - but probably not soon.

If by no issues, you mean no LTE is fine, then yes, no issues.

I'm sure there are NDAs in effect and that could be why the phones aren't showing up on any websites.

Depends on the city you are in. LTE works fine if you live in area with the correct bands.

It's also a function of whether LTE is available in your area/location...

I have LTE with T-Mobile in NYC

I use a Z30 on AT&T but get no LTE here in South Carolina. I plan on buying a Passport unlocked if all of the AT&T LTE bands are supported by the device. If it is like the Z30 where the main bands are not, I guess I will have to go another route. Love the phone, but need the LTE speed and Im not switching to T-Mobile to get it.

I was told from Customer Service and a Manager @ AT&T if they were getting BB Passport or the Classic and the reply was NO more BlackBerry for AT&T. my respond back to then is I will then CLOSE all my 4 line and switch to T-Mobile as a effected right away.
T-Mobile is now doing some negotiable with BlackBerry and it seem good new.
