I am a current law student in need of a sturdy phone. I had an iPhone for most of my undergraduate career, however, I want to simplify and I want a more business ready phone. I use my iPad now for more Facebook and other apps.
So here is my question: I want a phone for just heavy emailing, texting and calling with some internet usage, but I am not going to using app's such as Facebook or twitter. Which is the best BlackBerry, on the market, for my money? I've been looking at the Q10, Bold 9930 or 9900. Please Please Please help!!!

    Thank you so much!

Wait for the Passport. If you need something immediately, Q10. But I strongly advise you to wait for the Passport.

I had the z10, my wife has the q10 and now I have the z30. Should have had it ages ago. Depends if you want to wait a few more months for the new blackberry or grab a q10. Z30 is still great spec. But if you want latest BlackBerry then wait for the next lot to come out.

I concur with most of the above - if you need a phone now, get the Q10 ; otherwise, wait for the Passport or the Classic. I would not get a Bold/BBOS device - BB10 all the way.

I say go with a keyboard phone. You can either get classic or passport. Both will be released in coming months.

Get a Q10. The Hub will make replying to emails, texts, and etc easier to maintain as it'll be in one place. If you can hold out, get a BlackBerry Classic

Why would he get a Q10 when the classic is scheduled to launch in August?

Z10 is a great device. You will probably end up using your BB for Facebook more than you realize. The way it is integrated into your Hub makes it a strong way to communicate.

If you are in the US, you may have to wait until next year to get either the Passport or the Classic. Until then, go for the Q10.

My use case is similar to yours, but I still prefer the all-touch Z30 over keyboard phones--YMMV. Your iPhone time has left you with glass typing skills, but the Z30 typing experience is next level, so you should try it in person if at all possible.

On the other hand, if you do want a keyboard phone after all, the next question is how soon do you need it? If you?re talking immediately to next month, then Q10 is the safer bet and would be pretty easy on the wallet from what I've seen. Q10 is especially good if you don't care about the "BlackBerry tool belt" that the Classic will feature or don't have interest in the Passport phablet for whatever reason.

Well you need your own verdict. It depends on what do you need the phone for and if you are touch or QWERTY person. Since you mentioned you will be hard on emailing, texting and calling, you definitely need a long lasting battery. That probably rules out Z10 or anything below 1800 mAh. If you like touch probably Z30 would be good, if not Q10 is the available option. I heard some good things about passport and classic. Personally i am not a fan of Passport's design. Too stocky for me. Z30 is too big so i am a happy Z10er. You should probably get a used one or ask someone who already has one of the above to see how it fits into your day. Just stay away from anything other than Blackberry!!! You would regret it

Wow. I still like the 9900. My Rogers rep tells me they can't get enough devices to fill their needs. But if it's a BlackBerry 10 device you want, maybe wait for the Passport. I'm getting it and currently have a Z30.

I also recommend waiting if you can.. Don't go BBOS, look into the Z30 or Q10 if you can't wait..

A lawyer needs his business phone. The passport is the phone for you. Email, secure communications and security is the way to go.

In my law firm of around 200 lawyers, I am one of two with a BB10 phone. We still have a few BBOS users with firm provided phones too.

Most of my colleagues use iPhones.

We used to be an all BlackBerry shop. It changed very quickly.

    It's crazy.

I was the first one to get a BlackBerry and I'll probably be the last one to still have one.

A few months ago, we got Mobile Iron. Everyone hates it. People think it's spyware and kills your battery. Mobile Iron doesn't make a BB10 app so I'm one of the lucky people who don't get that.
