I personally haven't came across any. I am interested in one. But I don't know if they generate the power needed.

Have you actually used any of the Goal Zero chargers? I notice Future Shop advertises two of them online - the Nomad 7 and the Bolt. Can you recommend either of them?

I haven't used their chargers, but I did buy one of their portable speakers and it is amazing. Great sound and super-long battery life. Their new speaker is even better. They were demo'ing stuff at Costco and I was blown away. I would have bought the new one but I still love and use the old one so I had to talk myself out of it.

I don't think panels are efficient enough to be able to charge a phone unless you carry huge panels.

There is however a backup battery that can be charged using solar energy. Could be useful just hanging it on a backpack and let it just charge all day.

I was in Seattle at a gift show that my was attending and there was a booth at the show that was selling a 10000 mAh portable solar charger. He said they were retailing for 149.00 and since I didn't know much about the units I decided to give it some thought. As I was about to leave, the price cam down to 129.00 and they would throw in a longer set of cables(iPhone4, iPhone5 and BB). Then they would give me 2 of the units for 199.00 an throw in 2 head phones, long cables and clear screen protectors. Still didn't bite because i don't know enough about the subject. Thing is, I don't even know what make they are or anything about them other than the guy said they were 10000 mAh. Boxes were black with a lime green stripe and no name on it.

Oh well, I see they can be purchased for a lot less than 149.00!!!!

Any other info you can provide would be nice.

    I have this

Fully charged has 1500mA and passes a charge slowly but great speakers and can donate a partial charge. Tested on Z10 & Z30, both like it.
