I recently had to format my phone, I dint restore my backup since it was lagging the phone no matter how many times I format the phone and restore the same backup, so I am not going to backup anything this time, but it is causing some problems with snap, it is not working, I have the bar file which I side loaded using Google Chrome browser, am I missing some step here.

I am afraid that your Snap is now useless. This has been well documented over the past couple of weeks. If you do a CB search you will find other threads discussing this. Your only fix is now to use Cobalt's Google Play Store solution. See: http://forums.crackberry.com/android...016.1446389568

Make sure you read everything there and download/install all the files in correct order.
