As a former Nokia user I always had a physical keyboard.
Moved to Samsung Note 2 and now 3. Both good phones but as a no-nonsense business person (never have games on the phone etc.)
I have been frustrated by the virtual keyboard. It seems like I spend entirely too much time making corrections. So after my wife got her Blackberry Classic (she uses the phone only for the basics text, email and has been a Blackberry user for a dozen years) I got a case of Keyboard envey and thought I should switch to a Blackberry Passport (like the large screen). Seems like the only app I'd really miss would be Gmail. But it is expensive (I'm on t-mobile and don't want to switch carriers)
    Any thoughts, suggestions are appreciated.

Your question is subjective. You should move to whatever works for you. Only YOU know how YOU use YOUR phone and what YOU expect out of it.

You would miss Gmail? I'm using Gmail through the BlackBerry Hub. Which I find better than any communications app.

What do you need the Gmail app for exactly ? Do you think BlackBerry doesn't handle email? Lol

You don't need to switch carriers, just buy the passport unlocked on amazon preferably. Shopbb customer service is ****.

If keyboard and email are your things, you should be a at home with Passport / Classic. Gmail will be integrated to the HUB and it will feel even more native compared to the Gmail app on Android.

Bla1ze, the guy seems to require a little reassurance. Let's give it to him in a fair way.

Appreciate your comment. While the guy is right ( Of course it's subjective ) I really am a non-techie person and do need some reassurance...
