    Hello

I finished using an autoloader for my Classic for the recent OS update. Before I apply the backup I was wondering if I should do a soft reset, hard reset, or factory wipe for a clean install. Will a factory wipe erase the OS the autoloader just installed?

    TIA

A wipe will clean user data and restore default settings.

Perform a wipe to a device that has no user data and is at default settings and you gain... what now?

No, go ahead and restore your settings (and then you may actually need that wipe!).

The hard reset isn't a bad idea though. Autoload, do the initial setup, finish the tutorial, reset, give it 5 minutes to wake up, get started setting up the device.

If you just did a loader , it wipes your phone in the process , so just it up and do your restore. If you have to I wouldn't do settings if your coming from an old OS

You are better off not restoring backups esp. apps. Unless you have to, then restart and use your phone for a day or two. If you face any difficulty then do factory wipe.
