I'm seriously thinking about taking my unactivated z30 back for a refund. As much as I like the Blackberry (I enjoyed my 9310) there are just too many issues with the os. Somebody explain why one works perfect and the other doesn't. Is it because no two devices that roll off the assembly line are the same? if not, why not? How about if Mr. Chen finally decided to send out android os? Would everyone be happy? I don't know guys.

You are way overthinking this IMHO! Like I said before , the VAST majority of people are NOT experiencing any problems. It is a natural occurrence in a forum to see and hear about problems and people who are satisfied don't bother to write about the good. That is just human nature. Go for it--you won't be sorry.

Thank you sweet brookie. Let me pin you down. Tell me why one z30 does fine and another doesn't. Are you sure I wont be sorry? I've got my eye on that classic righr now. If I actuvate the z30, use it with 10.2.1, upgade to latest 10.3.2, and I'm a happy blackberry, you will have a hot pizza at your door. Thank you.

If you install 10.3.2.2813 using an autoloader you will be fine with volume and everything else. Halifax guy is on an older version but really most problems occur with user settings or errors of some sort. Pretty much every newer version has improved the OS with few exceptions. 2813 is a solid build.

Will I have a choice for that build on the screen, or will it automatically update to the latest one?

And since I'm not using a pc the download would need to come via my wifi hotspot. Will Surf unbox that Z30 and go for it? 😎

That may be true, but once burnt, twice shy. I don't want to risk another 'update' that proves to be three steps backward in performance.

    Posted using a Q10, 10.3.2.2474.

Trust me, 10.3 runs like a champ!, 10.2 is great but I love 10.3 more. I have two issues with my 10.3.2.2836 build which are, the notifications are low (that isnt really a problem because I reduce the sound even on 10.2 and I dont like sounds much buzzing everywhere, using a z30 will be fine because of the stereo speakers) and security wipes (they are my biggest problem, I did a wipe once and device got stuck, had to reload the os). But aside from that, I never felt better using 10.3 because I always have hated that big looking app drawer on 10.2. All the best my friend. I use a q10 by the way and the best os. Note do not forget to download the android runtime from BlackBerry world if you want to install os10.3.2.

This only applies to 10.3.2.2876 (SR 10.3.2.2836) and NO other version of 10.3.2

Finally activated my new Z30 STA100-5 and used a while. Had to use my wifi hotspot to update it, which went fine. It installed the earlier version, 10.3.2.2474. So far, no problems, glitches, or conflicts and running smoothly. Sound is deep and rich and have 4G LTE. So all my previous concerns vanished in the wind. Now lets enjoy and find out how I can go to rhe next 10.3.2. Thank you for all the help. And oh....I need to find out Brookiie's favorite pizza!

Haha about the pizza. If. 2474 is working good you could just stick with it. If it gives you grief at some point then go for. 2813. Easy peasey--and hope you enjoy it. Good luck.

Not having a pc I can't use autoloader to upgrade. Using a wifi hotspot, where can I find 10.3.2.2813 to move up from 10.3.2.2474 on Z30?
