    Hey Everyone,

I have Sachesi 2.0.2 running on a Windows 7 machine. Sachesi can't seem to find and connect to my Z10 device via USB.

The message says, 'Searching for USB device. Talking to 1 possible device'

Is it a device permission issue?? Please advice.

    Thanks!

There are no permissions to deal with on Sachesi. Although it doesn't generally matter, sometimes it causes issues, so I have to ask. Are you using an actual BlackBerry USB cable or just some random one that happens to also work? If it's some random one, try and find your BlackBerry branded one that comes with devices.

I'm using a BB USB cable.

Windows is able to mount the device and I can access my media card on Windows using the cable. I'm thinking it might have been a permission issue since BB Link is also not able to find my device (via USB connection). I just want to do a back-up and Sachesi and BB Link hasn't worked for me.

If your BB Link starts on your PC let it complete the initialization of your z10 discovery by entering the device password THEN close Link, then start up Sachesi

edit: just noticed your Link does not work and that is related to your Sachesi problem.

Any other tools the forum can recommend to do backups?

this problem has to do with network manager...I just disable it and bring up the usb interface manually, then run dhclient.

I finally got this to work by using the installer exe from the device (instead of dowloading the drivers directly from the web).

Sachesi is now able to connect and able to autoload and backup.
