    I bought a new blackberry device and wanted my old device to have the same contacts but with a different blackberry ID. I backed up the old device, did a security wipe, entered the new blackberry ID and then when I tried to restore from back up, the blackberry link software said it can't restore because the backup was done under a different blackberry ID!

    Any suggestions?

    Either try Sachesi to restore, or use the same BBID as was used to backup the device.Your BBM contacts will NOT restore as those are tied to your BBID used.
