Are Factory Reset on the BlackBerry Link has the same effect as Security Wipe on the device?

    Which one is better?

Both are same, but bblink is more reliable.

No. A factory reset will reload the OS.
A security wipe will just wipe all data

Reloading the OS on Link is similar to running an autoloader. It is quick.

A security wipe takes longer, but it also performs one other function: it clears the rest of your device memory to protect you from a forensic analysis of your ram. It fills the rest of your unallocated ram with random ones and zeroes.

Yes, both do have the same function, I've tried after the OS update via OTA and Factory Reset on the BlackBerry Link more reliable.
