Followed the video tutorial on how to remove/replace screen on Z30 (had to clean my mic).

Everything was working fine, screen was working, sound was working, etc. but when I went to tighten the screws to put the phone back together all of a sudden my screen no longer works!

The screen is now black, with some green lines on the bottom.

Can someone please give some advice on how to proceed? My thought is I somehow damaged the flex cable. Doesn't have any visible damage though.

Honestly, i would recommend you to get your phone to a good mobile technician near to you. They would be quick enough to find out the real issue with it.

I've never had that when replacing a z30 screen, do you have another screen you can try? Or double check the flex cable that it's connected properly.

    Behold, my thumbs have spoken.

Not sure how you would test it without some parts....

As sarahgad said, taking it to something that does this on a regular basis... they may have a screen or cable they could use for testing. Probably not a Z30 part number but something that works the same.

Yes the cable might have broken... it is old at this point.

Yes you could have damaged the screen.... STATIC charges kill electronics.
