Is there a way to remove BBM from my device? I have no use for it and even though I don't use it (and never have) it exerts a drain on the battery.

No, there's no way to remove it. The app is integrated into the OS.

I doubt it drains the battery very much if you don't use it.

Well according to Device Manager, it sits almost constantly around 47% and I have never used it.

That makes no sense to me, something is up. You sure it's not 4.7%?

My camera was doing that. I wouldn't open it, yet it would burn through about half my battery. A few reboots fixed it.

Hard reset your phone by holding both the volume up/down keys until you see the BlackBerry logo

I don't use useless apps, that's why I want to remove BBM from my BB. You really should try to understand what you're reading before running off like a soup sandwich.

Err, I had a battery drain like once with BBM, I updated it and everything went back to normal maybe you can try that because I do use BBM and it only consumes 0.51% of my battery, what you're experiencing is not normal.

I have a Q10 and do not use bbm either. Battery use is only. 02 per cent. No big deal here.

Apparently it's just my never ending streak of bad luck and curses that is the problem here.
