Yesterday I watched the QNX IOT presentation. I expected this would garner more attention but am yet to see a Crackberry write-up on it. I don't know enough about this space so I am hoping to get some knowledgeable insight

There wasn't a lot divulged from it really. If you tuned in then you caught the biggest things.. they didn't really cover a LOT of stuff that can be filtered down to something that can truly be turned into a post yet, that was the first of the series so they went light on expanding on it all. The biggest newsy take away was they have cloud partner that they're not yet announcing...

Thanks Blaze. You caught the same interesting comment I did.

If you get any industry feedback from the webinar I would be interested.

I am hoping Cisco. QNX and Cisco already work together.

Steve's comment regarding Cloud was "we recognise that our customers want a choice of providers so that in addition to the obvious provider (which already handles hundreds of carriers in dozens of countries with millions of devices) we are working to provide some alternatives.".

So - It'll start with BlackBerry and then grow organically.

Note that BlackBerry is already running the EnStream banking cloud in Canada for Rogers, Bell, Telus as well as the SureTap mobile payment networks for Rogers Bank. All part of the IoT.

A recording of the webcast will come out by early next week for download.
