Q10 - Your device needs to cool down before your camera can be used

Since the update to new BB 10.3.1, my device is acting weird. I cannot charge the phone anymore. When using BlackBerry original and any other charger as well, I get the icon on 'Full Battery". I have changed the battery, still same. My phone does recognise that phone is placed on charge and exits the Battery Saving Mode.

Other thing is when I turn on the camera app, I get "Your device needs to cool down before your camera can be used" message when my phone is cool as Will Smith.

I tried wiping, reloading OS, still the same.

What can be done?

Try to nuke the phone first then install an autoloader

Thanks for the reply. Tried Multiwipe (5 times) choosing non STL001. Flashed 10.3 OS, still the same behavior. Wiped again, flashed 10.2 OS, the setup got stuck at checking for updates for 2 hours. Flashed 10.3 OS onto 10.2, still the same behavior.

Problems:
Boot time very slow
Does not connect to mobile network
Prepares for Hub takes almost 15mins
Camera doesnt work (Your device needs to cool down before your camera can be used)
Contacts app doesnt open, neither from phone app
Overall phone lags except playing around in homescreen

Is it hardware problem or software? Can't be hardware because everything was fine before 10.3 update.

Does BlackBerry link detect the phone? If it does, use OS reload through BlackBerry link.

Tried now. No Luck

I have the same problem, but mine also doesn't connect to the network.

I have the same problem with Z10. It all happened after updating to 10.3.1
I have to charge the battery in an external charger in order to open the phone.

Symptoms:

Tried taking out battery for 24hrs. No luck

I nuked the z and reloaded 10.3.1 and still with the same problem. So i reverted back to 10.3.0 and the phone works great, camera works, usb charges etc... weird.

I was also able to fix my issues by installing 10.3.0.
This morning the phone updated automatically to the latest version 10.3.1 and the problems came back.
Anyone knows where to find the 10.3.0 autoloader because I was only able to find the developer build from Blackberry website.

Try this maybe work because I do with this method. First backup your file with BlackBerry link. Second factory reset handset. Afterthat automatically install & update. Good luck

Im using Q5, update to 10.3.1 and get:

"Your device needs to cool down before your camera can be used"
"Boot time so slow"
"device is slow when swicth app"

Revert back to 10.2 everything work.. I really like new icon and facility on 10.3.1, someone pls help me to fix it :(

Loaded 10.3.0.1418 on Q10 and everything works fine.

This thread goes back 3 years. BB10 is at 10.3.3 now, and I've never seen any of those issues or messages on my Q10. Old news, methinks.

I agree, I have a Q10 with 10.3.3.3204 and it works fine, runs apks and bars for blackberry world and google play store fine
