    I recently upgraded my BlackBerry Q10 to the 'silver edition' which i was led to believe supports Android. This was the reason I Purchased it.
    Now I have a message on whatsapp saying after December 31st whatsapp will no longer work on this device?

    I don't understand if this 'silver edition' supports android software.

    The Passport supports Android apps. WhatsApp will not be supported on BlackBerry after the end of the year.

    Your silver edition supports android in the same way that your Q10 does. That's it.
