While messaging (sms, whatsapp) my z10 always substitutes two very often typed words with symbols.
When i type OK (no metter if caps or not) the cursor goes green for a tiny moment and changes my "ok" to the left bracket "(".
Same happens when typing "do" - it changes to the right bracket ")".

It is not in the preset substitution, neither have i added it there. I quadruplechecked it, i didnt do that neither by accident.

I thought it was from my native language cause the word for brackets starts with letters OK and the world DO means "to", "towards" or "till". It made very little sense and after changing to english nothing changed, i still got brackets out of ok and do.

Could someone help a new enthusiastic BB-er before frustration takes over enthusiasm?

    Thank you very much.

It might be a learned word from sometime earlier when you miss typed it. Try settings> language and input> prediction and correction> clear learned words.

You'll loose all your learned words and have to start from scratch on the prediction part.

My son gave me the name back in the day (1999'ish) It came from the fact I used to own a very rusty 1982 Ford Bronco. Been using it ever since in one form or another.

You should, rust is the bane of those who appreciate nice vehicles.

My colleague was having the exact same issue with those letter combinations. I added two new substitutions to replace "ok" with "ok", and "do" with "do". That seems to have solved the problem (essentially tricking it). Hope that helps you.
