Using Priv STV100-1 on Android 6.0.1. The virtual keyboard pops up as needed and works as expected. However when I access any ISP 'wi-fi hotspot' locations that require a login I am presented with a similar virtual keyboard but with a row of numbers 1-9 and 0 across the top row with the standard qwerty keyboard below, much like a physical keyboard. I would like to make this 'numeric qwerty' my default virtual keyboard if possible but cannot find an option to make it so. I do not have any add-on keyboards installed, just the generic Blackberry US keyboard. Thanks :-)

There is no option to make that vkb with the additional numeric row the default. That version only appears when the cursor is in a field specifically coded to require both alphanumeric and numeric characters.

FYI -- the Google gBoard keyboard does have an option to display the numeric row all the time. gBoard has gotten better. You may want to give it a try, if that numeric row is a must-have.
