Is there any way to turn off the function where if you have a magnetic clasped case for your priv whenever the magnet touches certain areas on phone main body it immediately turns on some weird sleep screen??
I just got a folio/book opening style magnetic case and so have just discovered this 'feature' and I HATE IT!
Didnt have this screen ever....at all.... with previous cases (which also had magnetic clasp but were the top fold flip open style)
I also find it is causing my battery to drain 3 times faster...!!! (Usually I set my phone so screen stays off unless I push the power button as I value the privacy of random others not being able to see ANYTHING, even the name of email client you use or sms client etc)

I don't think there is a setting for that, I could be wrong.
Does your case have a window in it, where the display shows up? If not, then the case has the magnet in the wrong place.
It's called a window screen and actually uses very little battery.
There is another magnetic sensor, for use with non windowed screens, that will turn the display off.

No window in case at all.
And magnet turns screen onto that weird 'notification' thingy screen (window screen?) when case is open or even totally removed BUT the magnet from case 'latch' happens to touch either the front or the back of phone, just a little bit in from the very edge of the middle of the right side....

Then the magnet in the case is in the wrong place. Send the case back for a refund.

Whether or not this particular case has magnet in supposed right or wrong area isnt really my issue though. The case itself is absolutely fine, (technically), my problem is with the 'feature'. Displaying anything on a sleep or even home screen unless you specifically tell it to is a privacy risk, a very tiny one compared to some stuff going on in the world I know, but a privacy risk all the same. So am really hoping there is a way to get rid of this 'feature'!

There is a way to disable the feature, don't put a magnet on the sensor.
If the case isn't supposed to trigger the window screen, but it is, then the case is defective, technically.
Should there be a way to disable it? Maybe, but I'm 98% sure there isn't. There probably is an app, or a dozen that will do that for you. I have no idea what they might be, as I use a different case and don't have that problem.
I'm surprised more people haven't jumped into this thread to take my 98% to 100, or prove me wrong, (I don't mind being wrong). And suggesting an app or 5 that will fix it.
Try asking again on the Priv forum, I'm confident you will get more responses, maybe even better ones:D
