I know that Arabic keyboards are available for Blackberries, but I'm wondering if there is a feature to type in what I would be phonetic arabic on the U.S. version of the Q10. If anyone is familiar with how Windows or Mac OS X handles this it simply assigns an arabic letter to each english letter, e.g. 's' = س and so on and so forth. Does the Q10 have a feature like this?

Thanks in advance. Really appreciate the knowledgable people here.

On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen

Tap Settings > Language and Input.

Tap Input Languages > Add/Remove Languages.

Select the checkbox beside the languages that you want to enable.

Tip: If you need to switch input languages often, try turning on Language detection on the Input Languages screen. When you enable this option, your device will automatically detect which of up to three different languages you're using.

I hope this is what you needed
