Please help!
I have had the Z10 for almost a year. But very recently my phone has been getting hot. Very hot! I thought the battery might be giving way or something. And today the phone refused to light up.
I mean if I get a message, the notification rings, and the red notification light blinks, but if i press the power button to read the message, no light comes on the phone. even swiping from the base to the middle has not helped. the phone simply refuses to to light. I have rebooted dozens of times already.
Please help as i have no means of communication, and i have very important data on the phone. :(
P.S when i connected the phone to the computer, I get an error stating - "an error accoured mounting Z10(my pin) volumes. please reconnect your device."

Hi there, it does sound like a battery problem, try replacing it and try reloading the OS using BlackBerry Link

But if it was a battery problem, the messages and bbm wouldn't have worked. On the contrary I do get notified of my messeges.

By "refuses to light" do you mean the display refuses to turn ON? That's weird. When you did a reboot, have you saw the BlackBerry logo and typeface and the square loading screen?

Yup, the display refuses to turn on. When i reboot no BB logo appears, no square loading screen either. It's complete blank except for the notification light that comes on

Have you dropped your device or applied any pressure whatsoever on the display? It might be a hardware problem.

The only way I'm seeing it is an OS reload, if the problem still persists, then it is probably a hardware problem. I hope you have backups, because reloading your OS will wipe your device clean.

It can be through BlackBerry Link or the autoloader method.
