    I have just taken the playbook apart to put in a new battery and screen now wont charge or switch on ( help)

    Reopen the unit and verify all the connectors are correctly installed. If all are correct, and it still won't charge, try sticking the original batteries back in and see if it boots up (provided they still a charge in them). This will verify the screen install. Once that is done, replace each battery one at a time. this will help to verify the "new" batteries. Even if the "new" batteries have zero charge, if you put the old ones back in to verify the screen install, then all you should have to do is "stack charge" the unit and hopefully you can resurect the unit.

    did you put it back together correctly...

    any lights come on when you plug the charger in - if yes, then try the "stack charging" method.

    if no, take it apart again and double check everything get an electrical meter and test the voltage on the battery

    did it work before you replaced the battery?
