Hi there everyone simple question. I have a friend seriously considering a Priv but had a problem while testing it in store. When he type using the physical keyboard, the virtual keyboard is still up there, which then pushes all the word suggestions all the way up above the virtual keyboard and soooo difficult to access given the length. How do I hide the virtual keyboard? My friend mainly type English, Cantonese and Japanese. Thanks for help!

If I am not mistaken there is a setting in the Input and Keyboard menu to turn off the Virtual keyboard when the PKB is extended. Maybe the demo unit had both of them enabled all the time?

Or, like the unit in my local Telus store, the anti-theft clamp on the device made it think the on-screen keyboard was in use. The rep removed the clamp and it was fine.

So at least the virtual keyboard can be dismissed! That's the most important thing to confirm

I've never had both visible at the same time on my Priv. Pkb open = vkb gone.
