I've been debating for a while now to migrate from Gmail to Outlook. My question is, which is more secure?

Neither actually. Just that you know for certain that Gmail is reading your emails for targeted advertisements. MS probably does it as well, just that we do not hear about it as much.

I find Outlook.com working better than Gmail on BlackBerry - but in term of security they are really the same. Unfortunately email system wasnt really designed with security in mind.

I have them both on Classic. I don't use web UI. If on laptop, I use them linked to Microsoft Outlook, or in standard Windows mail utility. Nothing negative to report.

Microsoft doesn't scan your mail for advertising. This is reason why you didn't hear about it. You have read user agreements instead spreading FUD. FYI Yahoo scans mails for target advertising, too.

My advice is use Outlook.com and set it up on the BlackBerry using EAS. And regardless, don't send PII or any other sensitive information using email.
