Once you associate your BlackBerry with your computer, Link will not ask for the password. This is a part of the Remote File Access feature, otherwise for you to communicate with your computer it would have to have you enter the password to your device, which is difficult to do if you're not there to do!

If you want to be certain though, uninstall Link, reboot your computer, remove the association with your computer from your BlackBerry, install the latest version of Link from the website, and re-associate.

    Thx. for sharing.
Access to the encrypted filesystem on the device requires a password to decrypt the key itself.
The only logical place to "remember" it would be in BB Link, although I don't like passwords to be remembered unless I am asked to allow it.
Perhaps this feature was implemented to allow BB Link to sync via WiFi whenever the device is within range?
